Driver Cited, Hospitalized After Vehicle Overturns: Montgomery PD

A 55-year-old Philadelphia resident was cited for careless driving after his vehicle overturned in Montgomery on Monday, June 24, authorities said.

At 6:39 a.m., first responders were on scene at Spring Hill Road after a 2020 Toyota Highlander overturned, Montgomery police said in a release. The driver was traveling north on Spring Hill Road when he failed to  maintain the lane of travel, driving off the roadway, police said.

The vehicle struck a tree which caused it to overturn, police said. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital for injuries and was issued a summons for careless driving, police said. 

The driver is due back in Montgomery Municipal Court, police said.
